The Basics of Social Media is sponsored by Constant Contact, Inc., and will present the why, the what and the how of social media as a marketing strategy to reach your potential and existing prospects, clients and members This 2.5-hour seminar will look at the five most popular social media networks: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

We’ll also look at what comes next: what kinds of engaging, share-worthy content to post to social media, how to get started and how to use a content calendar to plan your social media posts.

Romona Foster is a highly endorsed social media trainer and consultant teaching professionals how to leverage and brand their businesses through the use of social media.  She is an engaging speaker who is passionate about all things related to social media marketing.  She trains groups and individuals on how to use LinkedIn, how to market on Facebook, all about Twitter, Instagram, and the best practices of Email Marketing.  In addition, she serves as Social Media Director for Black Educational Events/HBCU Today and manages social media accounts for a number of small businesses and nonprofits.
 
She was listed as one of the “best in tech” at DC Web Women’s Code(Her) Conference.
