Regularly Occurring Programs for Writers at DC Public Library

The DC Public Library offers a variety of writing programs for patrons to gather, write and hone their skills. A selection of regularly occurring writing programs is below. Click the links to find out meeting dates and times or call the branch. Please note that schedules may change, so confirm with the library in advance of attending. Keep an eye on the calendar for additional one-off writing programs, events, classes and workshops.

GEORGETOWN
Poets on the Fringe

The Poets on the Fringe (POTF) are local poets who meet every week to read and critique one another's poems. Bring one of your own poems with copies for the group to read and workshop. Contact georgetownlibrary@dc.gov or 202-727-0232.

Short Fiction Writing Workshop
Bring one printed copy of your own flash fiction or an excerpt from a longer piece (limit: 1,000 words). At each session, we will randomly select three participants to receive critique. Contact georgetownlibrary@dc.gov or 202-727-0232.

Northeast Writing Group

Palisades Writers Workshop
