goDigital - Job and Career Accelerator

goDigital – Job and Career Accelerator is a 1.5 hour presentation of a dynamic database, which provides online resources related to finding your career match, exploring various occupations, searching for jobs and internships, invaluable tools for getting hired and much more.

Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive a half-hour early to sign in for a seat at one of the 12 workstations.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well and the skills acquired in the PC Basics class and Word I Basics. Must also have a library card to establish your own account.

During this presentation, you will:
 
  • Learn what it means to “goDigital.”
  • Learn to log-in to the Job and Career Accelerator from the library’s goDigital webpage.
  • Establish a Job and Career Accelerator account, using your own library card number and PIN.
  • Tour the Job and Career Accelerator environment to discover its many resources under different categories of services.
  • Take an “Interest Matcher” or “Skills Match” quiz to learn what occupations are of interest to you and for which you have skills and abilities.
  • Learn to upload your resume and conduct job searches on your account.
