Dialogue with Neighbors

Immigration: Exploring how our identities, experiences and values shape our views

Whether you are a new immigrant or your family came to the United States generations ago, come share your perspective on how current local and national immigration issues are affecting community life. This dialogue will happen over three sessions and community members are strongly encouraged to attend all three as each dialogue session will build on the previous one.

Dialogues are aimed at building stronger communities by bringing community members with diverse perspectives together for honest conversations about issues that matter to them and the community in a safe, neutral and respectful environment. DCPL’s trained dialogue facilitators invite participants to share their experiences around a particular topic with the goal of promoting reflection, mutual understanding, learning, and community connection.

Session dates are as follows:

August 29th, 6-7:30 p.m.
September 5th, 6-7:30 p.m.
September 12th, 6-7:30 p.m.
