The Jackson Family Art Show

Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 (All day)

The DC Public Library is pleased to present The Jackson Family Art Show.

The Jackson Family Art Show (JFAS) was launched in 2013 by curator Diane Williams to showcase the unique talents of three generations of artists. Native Washingtonian C. R. Wells, brother of Williams, has been creating art locally for over 45 years. Jasmine Williams is a graduate Virginia Commonwealth University and majored in Art. The talent extends to the next generation, with six members of the Jackson family.

JFAS has been featured in numerous exhibits in the metro area over the years and we are thrilled to have them back at DC Public Library. The exhibition features paintings, drawings and multi-media pieces. Participants are encouraged and led to create their own masterpieces using mediums such as paint, pencils, crayons, yarn, plants and markers.

The art show will be featured at the Watha T. Daniel (Shaw) Public Library all day, Thursday, Feb. 7, in the library's main conference room.
