Warm & Crafty

Creative minds gathering at Capitol View

The colder weather has heated up the creativity here at Capitol View Library. With a host of one of a kind crafts for children, teens, and adults of all ages, it has been quite a fun winter season of activity thus far. Our Tuesday and Thursday “It’s Crochet Time” program participants have been hard at work designing and carefully bringing to life hand-woven creations just in time for winter sharing and warming up. Our generous volunteer, Ms. Darlene helps participants think through crochet stitches, patterns, and implementation of these one of a kind designs. Stop in during any Tuesday or Thursday morning session to become inspired and start weaving your own creations.

The after school crowd has been hard at work as well warming up the season with festive winter decorations such as stockings, ornaments, and snow globes. Makers of all ages coming together to create and bring their visions to life has been a lot of fun this winter.

Tinkering is well underway at Capitol View. Take a look at our calendar and come in to explore new skills, dive into old favorites, and meet some great people. Brush up on your skills before you enter the library as well by browsing our goDigital page to find interesting e-books, e-magazines, and more on crochet and other crafty projects!
