In celebration of DC Public Library "A Right to the City" campaign. The Anacostia Neighborhood Library will read Mayor For Life: The Incredible Story of Marion Barry, Jr. written by Marion Barry, Jr. and Omar Tyree. A blurb from the book jacket reads, "Marion Barry four-term mayor of Washington, D.C. and one of the most successful politicians in America, shares his spirited and courageous life story, being born a black boy in the cotton fields of Mississippi and then rising to the executive offices of one of the most powerful cities in the world."
