Tenley Library Introduces Connecting Hearts Series

Enhance your quality of life to help yourself and members of your community

Do you want to enhance your quality of life to help yourself and members of your community? Join us for our "Connecting Hearts" seminar and workshop series, and learn more about how to connect and foster meaningful relationships. On April 20, we will kick-off the series with an interactive seminar, "Lead From The Heart: A Case for Individuals, Communities, and Organizations.” We will show how connecting through shared interests and values (the “heart”), can lead to positive outcomes for yourself, organization and the community in which you live. Dr. Shonda McLaughlin, a professor and certified rehabilitation counselor, will host and facilitate the activities.

The "Connecting Hearts" series will run until June 29. We will connect hearts and foster meaningful relationships through substantive engagement and participation in various discussions and activities. Topics include but are not limited to self-development areas, such as employment preparation, online career exploration and transitioning from the military to community awareness topics, such as disability and homelessness. We will cap off the series on June 29 with a resource fair primarily focused on Veterans. Adults of all ages are welcome.
