Creating a LinkedIn Personal Profile from Scratch is a two hour seminar for those who are brand new to LinkedIn.  As a beginner, come learn how to create a LinkedIn personal profile from scratch!

In this class, we will walk you through how to create a LinkedIn Personal Profile.  We'll start from the beginning and discuss:
     • What a LinkedIn personal profile is
     • Setting up your LinkedIn personal profile
     • Managing account and privacy settings
     • How LinkedIn compares with other social media platforms
 
At the end of this three-hour workshop, you will:
     • Have created a LinkedIn personal profile
     • Add additional profile sections
     • Know how to make your content as public or private as you want
     • Understand language that is unique to LinkedIn
     • Be able to edit your public profile and URL
      
Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning how to create a LinkedIn personal profile, anyone who is unsure of how to keep their information private on LinkedIn…and anyone who simply wants to join in on the effective use of this social network for job searches and professional connections.
 
Prerequisites:
     • Basic Internet knowledge
     • A working email address and knowledge of the password
     • Optional: Your personal photo on a USB flash drive
 
Presenter:
Romona Foster is a highly endorsed social media trainer and consultant teaching professionals how to leverage and brand their businesses through the use of social media.  She is an engaging speaker who is passionate about all things related to social media marketing.  She trains groups and individuals on how to use LinkedIn, how to market on LinkedIn, all about Twitter, Instagram, and the best practices of Email Marketing.  In addition, she serves as Social Media Director for Black Educational Events/HBCU Today and manages social media accounts for a number of small businesses and nonprofits.
