Dance for All with the Washington Ballet

Southeast Library is happy to host the Washington Ballet for the upcoming program, Meet a Ballet Dancer, which is part of their Dance for All. Dance for All is a community engagement initiative that brings free performances, demonstrations and dance classes to every neighborhood in Washington, DC. Dance for All puts the Washington Ballet’s mission to bring the joy and artistry of dance to our nation’s capital into action.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a ballet dancer? The Washington Ballet will introduce audiences of all ages to the art of classical ballet and the life of a dancer. Two dancers will teach and demonstrate movements and answer questions and answer common questions like “what’s the point of pointe shoes and why do they wear tutus?”
