goDigital – Universal Class: Over 500 Free Online Courses

goDigital – Universal Class is a two-hour presentation of a dynamic database, which provides online training in a wide array of subjects, including computer training, office skills, health and medicine, language arts, law/legal/criminal, pet and animal care, real estate and so much more. Each Universal Class course involves lessons, assignments, exams and, if passed, awards Continuing Education Units, which are viable credentials in the workplace. 

Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive a half-hour early to sign in for a seat at one of the 12 workstations.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well and the skills acquired in the PC Basics class and Word I Basics. A library card will be needed to gain access to your account from home, along with your specially created username and password..

During this presentation, you will:
 
  • Learn what it means to “goDigital”
  • Learn to log-in to the Universal Class from the Library’s goDigital webpage
  • Establish a Universal Class account, using a username and password
  • Tour the Universal Class catalog to discover its many training categories and instructional resources
  • Learn that an instructor for each course will review your assignments, grade your exams and give invaluable feedback on your progress. You will also be able to chat with other members of your “virtual” class.
