Need to dust off that bike sitting in the garage? Have to fix that flat tire? Visit Gearin' Up Bicycles at a neighborhood library near you to receive free basic bike repair and maintenance. Limit one adult bicycle or two children's bicycles per customer. For a complete list of Gearin' Up Bike Repair Pop Up dates and locations at DC Public Libraries click here

Gearin’ Up Bicycles mechanics, safety coordinators and teen staff provide free bicycle maintenance for schools, parks, churches, and community events throughout the city, with an emphasis on areas not served by for-profit bicycle shops. DC Department of Transportation's Vision Zero Initiative, which funds Gearin’ Up repair pop-ups, is looking to reach zero fatalities by the year 2024 in the District of Columbia. Pop-Up shops are dedicated to reaching that goal for city cyclists by repairing bicycles in need of safety-related service, as well as spreading education and safe riding habits. Parts, tools, and skills are provided by Gearin’ Up.
