PC Basics for Seniors: Beginners

For seniors and beginners who need to be introduced to the world of computers, this is the class for you. In this hour and a half class, you will overcome your fears and gain the skills to become more familiar and comfortable with the computer. 

Seats are limited to 10 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive 30 minutes early to sign up for a seat at one of the 10 workstations.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well.

You will learn to:
  • Identify basic computer components and operating system features
  • Execute basic mouse techniques
  • Perform basic keyboard strokes and functions
  • Identify and navigate the features of the desktop
  • Open and exit software programs
  • Create and save a document to the desktop or to a flash drive
