People and Stories: Reading Deeply in Community

Last date: Wednesday, July 29, 2020, 12 p.m. (see all dates)

DC Public Library, in partnership with People and Stories/Gente y Cuentos: Reading Deeply in Community, invites you to participate in a program of reading and discussing short stories online.  Through oral readings and rigorous discussions of enduring short stories, participants find fresh understandings of themselves, of others and of the world.

We will meet via web conference on Wednesdays, noon – 1:30 p.m.

The discussion will be facilitated by Janice Rosen, Librarian, Center for Accessibility, in American Sign Language and voice.

Space is limited to 10 participants each session.  If you are interested in participating, please email Janice Rosen at  janice.rosen@dc.gov. If there is space for you, you will receive the link to the online meeting room and a copy of the story to read ahead of time.

You don't have be a "literature lover"...just come as you are!
