Digital Preservation 101

Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, 6 p.m.

Don’t let your memories, important paperwork and creative projects disappear! All digital files have a life cycle, whether scanned from a physical source or “born digital" on your smartphone or computer. Digital preservation is a proactive plan to ensure that all the bits and bytes that make up your digital files can be accessed and used for as long as possible. Join DC Public Library staff to learn how we apply digital preservation best practices to preserve the unique archival items in our collections and how you too can apply these practices to your digital files. No previous knowledge of digital preservation is required.

This will be a virtual event with limited attendance. Please reserve your space on Eventbrite to be sent login information.
