Science in the Summer: Be A Chemist during Winter Break
Last date: Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, 4 p.m. (see all dates)
Love Science in the Summer? Now you can enjoy your favorite summer STEM program over winter break! DC Public Library has partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science to bring you a full week of chemistry programs for the Family Learning at DC Public Library Series. The series will be hosted by Mr. Gerald Smith, who has instructed Science in the Summer programs at DC Public Library for many years.
What is a chemist? Is there more than one type? And what does a chemist do? Mr. Smith has created four videos to answer these questions and to share some fun activities to try at home. During the week of Dec. 28, you will learn what different chemists do. Here is a link to slides with additional information.
Be Chemist Schedule

Tuesday, Dec. 29 – Water Chemist
Wednesday, Dec. 30 – Material Chemist
Thursday, Dec. 31 – Color Chemist
