Google Slides - Registration Required

In this 1.5-hour class, you will learn how Google Slides allows you to create and edit a slide presentation online while collaborating with other users in real-time in the same Slide environment. Google Slides is compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint and shares many of its formatting features.

Seats are limited to 6 participants and registration is required.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well and the skills acquired in the PC Basics and Word I Basics classes.

You will learn to:
  • Identify and navigate the basic features and elements of the Google Slides window
  • Create a Google Slide Presentation in Google Drive and choose a recommended Theme
  • Apply basic formatting features and insert graphics, links and tables on slides
  • Insert additional slides, change the slide layout, and view and edit speaker notes
  • Apply slide transitions and animations
  • Add and reply to comments in a Google Slide and share your Google Slide presentation
  • Use the Version History to view the various versions created by the edits made
  • Download a Google Slide presentation to Microsoft PowerPoint and upload a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to Google Slides
Please bring your own flash drive to save class documents or send them to your established email account.
