Intro to Windows 10 - Walk-In Access

In this 1.5-hour class, you will explore and navigate the Windows 10 operating system functions & features, including the new Start Menu, the Windows 10 digital assistant, Cortana, the new Quick Access feature in File Explorer; selected features of the Settings menu and much more.

Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis. Please arrive a half-hour early to sign in for a seat at one of the 12 workstations.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well and PC Basics - Beginner.

You will learn to:
  • Open and navigate the new Start Menu
  • Re-name groups and live tiles of the Start Menu
  • Use Cortana to search for applications, files or folders
  • Pin and unpin application icons to Taskbar and Start Menu
  • Explore right-click menu features for the Desktop, Taskbar and Start Menu
  • Engage Aero keyboard shortcuts for multiple Windows viewing and management
  • Explore and engage selected features of the Settings menu
