Photo Talk: Suspect Device

Looking at documentary photography of DC's underground music scene

Photographer Chris Suspect will be in conversation with writer and musician Alec MacKaye on Suspect's body of work—including images from his 2014 book "Suspect Device"—and their experiences in the DC punk/hardcore scene. Following the talk, the DC Punk Archive will exhibit items from its collection.

Photo Talk: Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary 

Take a look at street photography in the Nation's Capital

Join photographers Chris SuspectSofía Sebastián, and Mukul Ranjan for a panel discussion about their experiences behind the camera- including shooting criteria, favorite locations, and creative and practical advice for aspiring photographers. 

The talk will conclude with a brief Q&A and a gel plate printing activity with the DC Punk Archive; guests will be able to rework a sample of images shown from the photographer's portfolio.
