Hate Crimes Against the Homeless: a Panel Discussion

Monday, May 10, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.

Over the last 10 years there has been a rise in violent attacks against the homeless at the hands of non-homeless people, including 244 deaths. As more and more people and families are pushed out of their homes in this current economic crisis, there are more vulnerable people on the streets.

Learn more about this alarming trend of violence against the homeless. AND learn what the homelessness rights community is doing to not only fight back against hate crimes, but also to fight for affordable housing and better services for some of the city's most vulnerable citizens.

This will be a truly inspirational event, featuring some of the leading homeless rights advocates with the National Coalition for the Homeless and Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless.
