The Crossroads tells the story of a farmer during the Great Depression who, baffled by the government’s policy to fix the economy by paying farmers to bury surplus produce, goes off to the big city to sell his excess vegetables.  On the way, he runs into a crossroads where he sets up to do business – only it’s a crossroads in time.
