Page Turner Thursday's is proud to present our book club book of the month.  As you know, March is Women's History Month [6].  To honor our women and the fight for justice in which many have embarked on, we decided to choose a person who may not be well known to many.  However, her contribution to the feminist movement should not go unnoticed.  

The book is entitled, Florynce "Flo" Kennedy The Life of a Black Feminist Radical [7] and is written by Sherie M. Randolph. A snippet from the book reads: "Rather than simply reacting to the predominantly white feminist movement, Kennedy brought the lessons of Black Power to white feminism and built bridges in the struggles against racism and sexism."  

Our discussion will take place on March 23 at 7 p.m.  We are located on 1800 Good Hope Road S.E. We have off street parking in our secured parking lot, in addition, there is street parking surrounding the library.  We hope you can join us this month as we celebrate Women's History!
