If the item you're looking for is checked out to another customer, or if you want an item sent to your home library branch, you can place a hold for that item. Make sure you give your e-mail address to your library, so we can email you when the item is available. You can choose the nearest library to pick it up.

To place a hold, log in to the catalog [4], and then search to find the title of the item you wish to reserve. You can then place a hold one of two ways:

From the Search Page:

  1. Click the check box next to the book you want to place a hold on.
  2. Click on the Select an Action dropdown menu at the top of your search results.
  3. Select Place a Hold.
  4. Select your desired Pickup Library and click on Place Hold. Click OK.

From the Item Page:

  1. Click on the Place Hold button.
  2. Select your desired Pickup Library and click on Place Hold. Click OK.

Read the Catalog Holds FAQs [5].
