Join Library Takeout for the
5th Annual Chuck Brown Day presented by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Chuck Brown Foundation - a family-friendly, outdoor event to celebrate the godfather of Go-Go. Stop by DC Public Library's tent to learn about the
Go-Go Archive and how you can be part of the project! Sign up for a library card, check out a book and ask us questions about
GoDigital resources.
During the afternoon, DC Public Library will host a speical conversation between Go-Go musician and promoter,
Kato Hammond and journalist,
Marcus Dowling, about the craft of writing about Go-Go, publishing, and marketing oneself as an author in the DMV. Visit the family stage on the North side of the park for this glimpse of local, cultural production with two experts!
