Resume Writing and Cover Letter Workshop and Lab

This 2.5-hour workshop will feature how to maximize the use of Microsoft Word résumé templates to create a dynamic résumé that sets yours apart from the thousands received by an employer. Several websites will be explored to expand your knowledge and effective use of keywords and action verbs, with an emphasis on why both are important to your résumé construction.

Job Seekers Computer Basics

Start your job search today at the Parklands-Turner Neighborhood Library, using DC Public Library computers.  Each computer training class for job seekers will focus on the very basics to help get you started. All training sessions will be led by one (1) trainer paired with up to four (4) adult students. Classes meet the first Monday of every month from 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., with special sessions announced periodically.* Space is limited, please phone ahead or visit the branch to reserve your seat at one or more training sessions.
