Kid's Corner at CityCenter Park

Join DCPL and CityCenterDC for Kids Corner every Wednesday May through September. Librarians from the DC Public Library will lead a 30-40 minute story time full of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays! Kids Corner story time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun, outdoor environment.   The Park at CityCenter is located at the corner of 10th & I Street NW.

Visit a librarian during National Bike To Work Day at Freedom Plaza from 7- 9 a.m.! DCPL Staff will be outside with bike-themed books, giveaways and upcoming program information. Talk to us about the MLK renovation project, learn about this year's summer reading, or return that book you keep forgetting to bring to your neighborhood library.

Petworth Playgroup

Each Monday, we invite our youngest patrons and their caregivers to color, play with Duplos, socialize and more! Supplies provided (but feel free to bring toys to share!). Playgroup meets in our 2nd floor Children's Room. Recommended for ages 4 and under.

Come and get those creative juices flowing with a popsicle stick baby chick! In the Zone is held the third Tuesday of each month for kids to kick back and enjoy games, crafts, or other fun. Ages 3-12

Join us for an afternoon celebrating the Summer Reading theme of Build a Better World! This year's party will feature games, snacks (slushies!!), surprises, music performances, and more.   Open to all ages. From 1 - 4 p.m. in front of the library on 7th Street NE. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Northeast Library.   P.S. Do you have some old puzzles you no longer use? Maybe you'd like one of ours? Look for the Puzzle Swap table at the Block Party.
