Bon Appetit! Author and Maryland architect Pamela Heyne AIA, will visit the Parklands-Turner Neighborhood Library on Thursday, June 29 at 7 p.m. to present a program on her 1989 interview with Julia Child about kitchen design, entertaining and US culture.  Ms. Heyne has published several design books and has appeared on the Discovery Channel, been interviewed by the BBC, and lectured internationally.

Parklands-Turner Summer Reading 2017 Kickoff Event

Visit the Parklands-Turner Neighborhood Library on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 and celebrate the kickoff of the Summer Reading Program in the Congress Heights Neighborhood. The Theme for Summer Reading this year is "Build a Better World." The festivities of the day will begin with a special story time for toddlers & preschool children at 10 a.m., featuring stories and songs about trucks, tractors, building equipment and more.

CAMP DAYS! Special "Build A Better World" Storytime Sessions

We love our summer camp friends. This summer we want to tailor some special story time sessions just for YOU! Summer camp groups with students ages 9 and under are invited call and reserve space in our special “Build A Better World” Camp Day story time sessions on June 22 and August 3 on a first come, first served basis. Sessions will take place at 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on both days.
