Japan-in-a-Suitcase

Explore Japanese culture and language!  Japan-in-a-Suitcase brings traditional toys, clothing, school items, and crafts to encourage a deeper understanding and awareness of Japan and Japanese culture. Presented by the Japan America Society of Washington, D.C.  Recommended for children ages 5 and older. Children younger than 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dramatic play and improvisational games for kids ages 5 to 9 years of age. Children will have a blast using their imaginations to build new worlds together.  This weekly summer program is great for kids who wish to develop their language and speaking skills, practice creative and collaborative thought, strengthen social confidence, and/or just have fun with friends!

Be Creative, Build a Better World

Be creative at the library and build something to carry home.  We will roll out the "Creativity Cart" this Saturday to get those creative ideas flowing.  The Creative Cart will be used during our Lunchtime Mini Maker sessions in July.
