Homework Help for Kids - Reading

ABCmouse is a fun and educational website geared towards children 2 to 8+. The site features books, interactive educational games, puzzles, videos, songs, and artwork that teaches reading and language arts, math, science, social studies, art, and music. Spanish language activities are also available in the “Things to Do” section. 

When ABCmouse is accessed from home, it can be shared by up to three children in a household, each with their own avatar, profile, and progress-tracking on the ABCmouse Step-by-Step Learning Path. 

To get started click the "Visit" button to the right and enter your library card number. The first time you visit you will be prompted to create an account using an email address and password. Follow the steps to add children and complete the optional assessment. 
 

Pairs high-quality children's video storybooks with factual ebooks for pre-schoolers, kindergartners and beginning readers. Related games and puzzles reinforce early reading skills and build curiosity about the world. Algunos títulos en español.

BookFlix is not available using Internet Explorer. Instead use Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari web browsers. 

HelpNow is a resource designed for K-12 students and beyond. Live tutoring is available in English and Spanish from 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. EST to provide homework help for core subjects, including mathematics, science, and English language arts. Practice long division, improve reading comprehension, and learn other key skills. Students may submit papers to HelpNow’s Writing Lab for expert assistance and feedback, or collaborate with peers in virtual study spaces.

Live tutoring for grades K-12 is available in English and Spanish from 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. EST.

Offers animated, talking picture books, which are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books. A parent can read to the child, or the book can be “read” to the child online.
