Picture Book Love Stories

For children and grownups alike

The following books were written for children but can be enjoyed equally by adults, who might appreciate the deeper meanings within the pages. For anyone who has been in love, they will tell a familiar story. Perhaps the plot will even remind you of your relationship with your significant other. The books explain love in a way that’s plain enough for children to understand, while avoiding shallowness. Love is simple, and these books get right to the point.

A Super Start to Summer Reading at Woodrige!

Every Hero Has A Story at our Kickoff Celebration

We kicked off the 2015 Summer Reading Program with a day of fun at Woodridge on Saturday, May 30, the first official day to sign up for the program. Visitors and staff got in the spirit with their best superhero attire -- from Iron Man, to the Scarlet Spider (a clone of Peter Parker), to real-life hero Jackie Robinson. We created our own superhero masks, filled out 'official' superhero ID cards, and won prizes with a balloon pop game outside.
