Celebrate National Karaoke Week on Monday, April 20 and Friday, April 24 at 4 p.m. with Kids Love Karaoke, two special programs to encourage confident public reading and singing as well as supportive listening in children ages 5-10. Do you love to watch and sing along with contestants on American Idol and The Voice? Petworth Neighborhood Library will give you the opportunity to have fun while practicing and showing off your vocal gifts in a supportive, friendly environment before you get discovered by the pros!

Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month at Petworth Library

Tax woes making you and your family sad? Well, jump into your jammies and let some jazzy beats make you glad! Join us April 7 at 6:30 p.m. for some swinging stories, recorded jazzy jams, dandy dances as well as vintage video clips with jazz themes. This program is appropriate for ages 3 to 7. Wearing comfortable pajamas to storytime is optional, but encouraged. Groups of 9 or more, please call 202-645-8337 to register in advance.
