DIY Button and Book Marker Making

Want to wear your message to the world on your shoulder?  Don't wait until February to make your mark.  Come to a special post-Kwanzaa/Get-Ready-for-Black-History-Month DIY craft for teens at the Parklands-Turner Library. Saturday, Jan. 13 from 1 - 3 p.m., teens will immortalize powerful, meaningful images and words as they design their own buttons and book markers to wear during Black History Month and beyond.

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 3:30 PM.  DISCOVER THE ART OF FASHION SEWING!  Join us for a D.I.Y. pencil skirt and neck tie sewing workshop, led by Jamila Madyun, Savannah College of Art & Design graduate. Celebrate National Play Dough Day on September 16!

September 16 is National Play Dough Day! Join us on Monday, Sept. 14 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Children ages 2.5 - 4 years old will LOVE squishing, kneading and creating new things with dough. Ms. Tea will follow a simple non-toxic recipe that requires no cooking, and provide other resources and household items as dough modeling tools to prompt creative thinking/exploration.
