Books to read under a blanket and help you complete your reading goals for 2021!

Reading is a hobby that you can do year round but there is just something special about reading a book in the winter curled under covers with a hot drink. So today I wanted to highlight 10 books (1 bonus at the end) that I’ve enjoyed reading and feel would be great winter reads. Note: There is a mix of Young Adult and Adult titles in this list and each book is linked to their physical and electronic books when applicable. (Click the title if you are interested in placing the book on hold!)

Escape to an emotional read!

Books that make you cry and laugh out loud.

The list of books below has a combination of genres such as contemporary fiction, romance and erotica. Giving proof that you do not need to focus on one specific genre (fantasy) to escape through books. These are all books that I have read and while reading them I found myself laughing out loud, crying, or clutching my pearls. I hope that if you are in need of an emotionally draining book you find one that fits you within this list!

Challenge Accepted: Read Harder 2017

Challenge #21: Read a book published by a micropress

A new year means new year resolutions and challenges. One reading challenge that I love to do is Book Riot’s 2017 Read Harder challenge. Instead of having people focus on a specific number of books, Read Harder challenges people to read different genres or authors that they may overlook.

Take a Peek: Romance Novels

It’s safe to say romance novels have always been around: from trashy bodice rippers to popular romance books with a supernatural twist, this genre presents material that is easily readable and highly appealing. True, with their steamy covers these titles may be hard to whip out in public (smartphones and eReaders come in handy for these situations) but you may be surprised by what you find the next time you pick up a book like these.
