Graphic Novels are somewhat contentious in the literary sphere. Are they really books? Do they merit the same sort of acclaim as other written works? I am, without a doubt, a member of the "Graphic Novels Are Amazing" club, and as such I believe it's my duty to share with you all some wonderful graphic novel titles. Since graphic novels come in a number of sub-genres, I've decided to limit this list to those that deal with heroes. Heroes don't necessarily need to be caped crusaders or have super human powers, and these titles prove just that.

The Parklands-Turner Neighborhood Library has a terrific collection of comic books and graphic novels.  Children and teens are encouraged you to come in and enjoy one of the comics on display, or select an item from the catalog from any library in the city and have it delivered to Parklands-turner, epsecially for you!
