The 19th Century English Author's Version of A 12th Century Persian Poet's Verses

Omar Khayyam (1048-1122) was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, and poet who wrote thousands of quatrains (known as the rubaiyat). Edward Fitzgerald, the British poet, selected and adapted Khayyam's verses into English and other languages.

The "Animation Unplugged" workshop is a dynamic program created by MEDIA SAVVY's founder Denaise Seals.  This course is an introduction to the basics of animation and is designed to stimulate recognition, discussion and comprehension of animated cinematic releases and video game technology. "Animation Unplugged" invites animators of all ages and artistic levels to create flip books, thaumotropes and other optical toys.

Come create your own stocking this year to take home and place on your mantel.  Use different types of fabric and tools to make your own creative stocking.    Let’s have fun! Between Dec. 16 and Dec. 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., we will show you how to make your own unique stocking. You will have lots of fun meeting new friends putting your own style on your own unique stocking.   Great for ages 11-19.
