Homelessness: A Panel Discussion

Join the Friends of the Tenley-Friendship Library and the DC Public Library for a panel discussion on homelessness. Panelists will discuss causes and solutions to homelessness, the critical role outreach workers play in supporting people experiencing homelessness and ending homelessness for individuals, and how community members can be involved in advocacy efforts to end homelessness in the District.  Panelists include: Jean Badalamenti, MSW, Health and Human Services Manager, DC Public Library

Adults of all ages are welcome to Move to the Music!  Kathy Gracenin, DR, will incorporate elements of  Tai Chi, Yoga,  Qi Gong and Dance to help the body and mind. Dancing a little each day improves strength, balance and alignment and improves the health of your brain. Dancing in your chair is also great!

Get up and get moving at our Toddler Story Time. This program is full of books, songs and fun activities designed to help develop your child’s language skills.Children ages 1-3 years and their grownups are encouraged to engage with the stories and activities and participate in the program along with the children. Tickets are required to attend this program. They are available at the Children’s Desk 60 minutes before the start of the story time on a first-come, first-served basis.
