Services and Support For Victims of Crimes

The Shepherd Park Neighborhood Library is having a program with the Metropolitan Police Department on Monday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. This program is free to the public and will be held on the second floor of the library in Meeting Room A. Victim specialists from the Victims Services Branch of MPD will be making presentations and answering questions. The goal of the presentations is to inform the public that MPD has services and support for victims of crimes in the District of Columbia.

The Black Voices Book Club will be meeting on Monday, May 21 at 7 p.m. to discuss Edwidge Danticat's novel, Breath, Eyes, Memory.

Computer Classes for Beginners

Learn computer basics in a small class setting

The next session of computer classes for beginners at the Shepherd Park Neighborhood Library will start on Thursday, May 31. It is a six-week basic computer class. Classes are held on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The topics covered are:Essentials of the keyboardFiling fundamentalsThe InternetE-mailRegistration is open now and is necessary as space is limited. Meditations with Coach Maq
