Public Computers and Printing

The DC Public Library (DCPL) provides computers to patrons on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis.

Each customer must use his/her own library card to reserve a computer. Use of another person’s card number is not allowed. Learn more about how to reserve a computer (PDF).

Each customer is allowed up to two (2) sessions per day throughout the DCPL system. Computers in the adults, children’s and teen areas are set for 70-minute sessions. If there is no one waiting, session lengths are automatically extended. Use of the 15-minute express stations does not count against the daily session limit.

For more information, visit our Computer Use Guidelines.

With a library card or DC One Card, customers can print up to 20 pages and copy up to 20 pages, per library account, per day for free. Those pages can be in color or black and white.
Customers can also utilize their 20-page print limit though wireless printing from a mobile device or computer. However, your mobile print account must be linked to an email address. Learn more about how to use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the Library's printers from anywhere.
