Friends of the Library

The Friends of the DC Public Library work hard to raise awareness and advocate for the library, as well as fundraise to enhance library services.

For more than a century, the public library has been one of the city's most valued assets, sustaining and improving the quality of life and education in D.C.

Private support makes the difference between what the library would provide if it relied solely on tax revenue, and the excellent programs and services it does provide for our city. Donated time and money enable the library to purchase additional books, upgrade and replace equipment and expand our programming for children. Consider getting involved with DC Public Library for continued impact!
