AwesomeCon invites you to Discover Summer with the DC Public Library! Discover Summer: Go, Find, Explore

DC Public Library is excited to partner with Awesome Con for Discover Summer pre-registration! From June 1 - June 12, when you pre-register for Discover Summer you will:

  • Receive a FREE Jr. Badge (For children ages 3 - 10) to attend Awesome Con using the promo code DCPLKIDS23.
  • You will also be entered into a raffle for a pack of 3 tickets to Awesome Con. Winners will be contacted by email.

Awesome Con runs from Friday, June 16 - Sunday, June 18 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Kick-off Discover Summer with the Washington Nationals and at your neighborhood library!

On June 10, DC Public Library will be a part of MLB's Play Ball Weekend, a FREE event for D.C. families where you can enjoy stories read by players, fun baseball and softball activities and be one of the first to sign up for this year's Discover Summer.

Discover Summer Library Days

You know that your DC Public Library Card can connect you to books, movies, music and more but this summer your library card is also your ticket to some of D.C.'s hottest museums! DC Public Library is partnering with local museums to host Library Days where families can enjoy special experiences.

June 24 | Phillips Collection

The DC Public Library is excited to Discover Summer with you at The Phillips Collection, the first museum of modern art in America on Saturday, June 24 from Noon - 3 p.m.! Enjoy the permanent collection as well as Frank Stewart's Nexus: An American Photographers' Journey, 1960s to the Present.  In addition, The DC Public Library and The Phillips Collection will host a special storytime for families, an art activity, gallery games, and more!
