Thank you for considering Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library for your next event. At the epicenter of cultural vibrancy in Downtown Washington, the MLK Library is situated blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, and is metro accessible. With state of the art audio-visual equipment and a spacious outdoor rooftop, your next event is even more monumental at MLK.

Become an Approved Caterer
Thank you for your interest in becoming an approved caterer at DC Public Library. While the application is open year-round, DCPL Event Services staff will review submitted applications once per year, during the summer. Please contact eventrentals@dc.gov with any questions and see below for the application and helpful documents.

With its beautiful views of downtown, this versatile space boasts a spacious rooftop terrace. The flexible walls opening to both the terrace and the pre-event space allows this room to be configured to accommodate a variety of event needs.
