D.C. Jail Video Visitation Program

D.C. Jail Video Visitation Program

Partnership with D.C. Department of Corrections

DC Public Library partners with D.C. Jail in their Video Visitation program. Family and friends of D.C. Jail inmates have the opportunity to access video-visitation stations at Anacostia Neighborhood Library and at Capitol View Library to make live connections with D.C. Jail inmates.

Video Visits take place at the following times:

Anacostia Neighborhood Library
Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. and Sundays 2-4 p.m.

Capitol View Neighborhood Library
Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. and Saturdays 2-4 p.m.

Video Visitation users must schedule appointments through the Department of Corrections, up to one week and at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions are controlled and monitored by the Department of Corrections. Visitors must comply with DC Public Library Rules of Behavior and the Department of Corrections Video Visitation Rules and Responsibilities.

If you have any questions about the program, call the Public Services Office at 202-727-1151.

We welcome the opportunity to provide this service to DC Public Library customers.
