The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 for a sold-out author talk with Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. 

This Newspapers.com portal is accessible only from DC Public Library locations. The portal includes newspapers from Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia; and National Black newspapers from the late 1700s into the 1960s. The bulk of the titles are from Washington, D.C., and range from hyperlocal short-run newspaper titles to major newspaper titles still in print today. Topics include politics and government, neighborhood life, and Black culture.
