Petworth Interim Closed

The Petworth Interim Library is now closed.The newly renovated Petworth Neighborhood Library will open on February 28, 2011. Customers may pick up their holds at the Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Library on the corner of the 7th St and Rhode Island Ave NW beginning Monday afternoon, February 7. Returns may be made to any District of Columbia Public Library. Dragon's Dance

Celebrate Chinese and Vietnamese New Year with us on Thursday, February 3rd at 4pm. We will watch a dragon dance, find our Chinese Zodiac animal, and make a dragon puppet. All ages are welcome.

Petworth Oral History Project

Are you a long-term resident of Petworth? Or do you know someone who is? We are recruiting volunteers who can share their memories and experiences of living in Petworth and visiting the Petworth Neighborhood Library. We are compiling oral histories to share with the community at our grand reopening festivities in late February or early March 2011.
