Computer Classes for Seniors

June 24, 2010 marks the first day of Computer Classes for Seniors at the Shepherd Park Library.  This is a six week course which focuses on developing basic computer skills.  Although many have already registered for the class, new students will continue to be accepted until July 1.  Registration for the next six week course will begin on August 2, 2010.   Please call (202)541-6100 for more information.

On Monday, April 19 the Black Voices Book Club of the Shepherd Park Library discussed A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines.  The book generated unprecedented enthusiasm from the members.  One of the topics that made the discussion so engaging was that some of members were able to relate the author'

Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Come celebrate the end of school, and the beginning our Making Waves and make a Splash Summer Reading programs. Sign up to win prizes when you read, get information on our special performers for this year, and help paint a mural in the lobby. We will begin painting at 4:30 pm.  Children and teens of all ages are welcome.
